In collaboration with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, we developed a groundbreaking initiative designed to extend the values of the Olympic Movement into classrooms and communities around the world. The Youth Champion Ambassador (YCA) was envisioned not as a one-time program but as a globally scalable youth leadership platformempowering young people to grow as creative, resilient, and community-minded leaders inspired by Olympic ideals.
The goal was clear: to bridge the symbolic power of the Olympics with real-world youth development, creating an experience that resonates across borders, cultures, and educational systems. From concept to launch, our work spanned multiple disciplines, ensuring a consistent and profoundly engaging experience at every touchpoint.
We began by shaping the verbal identity of the program—defining its tone, core messaging, and narrative structure. The result was an aspirational voice, accessible, global, yet personal. We chose language that uplifts young people and honors their potential, reinforcing growth, curiosity, and purposeful leadership themes.
In parallel, we crafted a bold, modern visual identity that balanced Olympic prestige with youth culture. The logo, color palette, typography, and brand patterns were designed to be flexible and recognizable across physical and digital platforms, capturing the energy and inclusiveness of the YCA mission.
At the heart of the Youth Creative Academy is a modular, experiential curriculum rooted in six transformative principles drawn from both Olympic values and youth development psychology:
Each module includes interactive exercises, real-world projects, discussion prompts, and community challenges, allowing students to engage deeply and apply what they learn in their lives and environments. The curriculum is designed for flexible implementation and is adaptable for use in schools, museums, workshops, or virtual programs.
Though headquartered at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs, YCA was never intended to be local in scope. From its earliest stages, we designed the program for international scalability, and today, it is active in India, Slovenia, Greece, Abu Dhabi, and China, with additional interest from educational institutions and Olympic committees in other regions.
Each international partnership is localized to reflect cultural context while staying true to the YCA global ethos, allowing students worldwide to engage with the program in meaningful and relevant ways.
We supported the program’s debut with a dynamic launch event that included student presentations, community art installations, and interactive storytelling experiences within the museum. Every detail—from signage and wayfinding to interactive stations and printed materials—was carefully crafted to immerse participants in the YCA identity and ethos.
Our work included:
We didn’t stop at launch. Our team built a roadmap for sustainable growth and replication, including a facilitator certification program, ambassador network, and digital infrastructure that supports both asynchronous and live instruction. Strategic program partnerships were formed with schools, youth organizations, and Olympic affiliates to ensure long-term success and relevance.
YCA is more than a youth program—it’s a global movement that leverages the spirit of the Olympics to ignite the leadership potential in every young person. Through design, storytelling, and profoundly human-centered strategy, we helped turn a bold idea into a real, thriving experience shaping tomorrow’s leaders.
